Center for Physical Activity and Sport

The Center for Physical Activity and Sport (CPAS) is an extension of the Department of Kinesiology at Boise State University, and was approved by the Idaho State Board of Education as an administrative unit in the spring 2000. CPAS seeks to promote the physical, psychological, and social benefits of physical activity and sport across the lifespan.

To accomplish this goal, CPAS will:

conduct and generate research activities to examine various issues related to the involvement in physical activity and sport;
disseminate scientific as well as practical knowledge to teachers, coaches, parents, athletes, and health professionals about best practices to promote healthy environments for those who participate.
