BIKE BARN INFORMATION

The Department of Kinesiology at Boise State has opened a new BIKE BARN on campus. Located in the Kinesiology Annex Building, across from the weight room, this facility supports bicycle commuters who ride their bikes to campus or students who wish to secure their bikes in a safe facility. Amenities of the bike barn include locked indoor bicycle storage, showers, and lockers. Dry cleaning drop off and delivery services are provided for those who wish to leave a selection of work clothes in their lockers. The facility accommodates approximately 40-50 users per semester.

Cost for use of the facility is $30 per year and it includes an individual key code combination which provides secure entry into the facility and shower privileges. Lockers are available in the facility and in the shower area for an additional cost. Renewals are accepted once a year in August, the first week of classes during the Fall semester. Space in the Bike Barn goes very quickly so sign up early for the best opportunity to use our facility.

Whether or not you use our facility, bike commuters will be able to compete for rewards, donated by local bicycle shops and sponsors. A "BIKE TO WORK CHALLENGE" is typically scheduled for Spring semester.

For more information about the BIKE BARN or the BIKE TO WORK CHALLENGE, please contact Chris Borton at 426-4270 or cborton@boisestate.edu.
