Athletic Training/Motor Control
Research Laboratory

(AT/MCRL)

is a
Multifaceted  facility

within the Department of Kinesiology  (Room K-130)
and is directed by John W. McChesney, Ph.D., LAT.
who is also the director of the
Athletic Training Education Program

The AT/MCRL is a satellite of the

BSU Center for Orthopaedic and Biomechanics Research

The focus of the AT/MCRL is to investigate:

Somatosensory Contributors   to
Motor Performance
and aspects of
Orthopaedic Rehabilitation.

The AT/MCRL invites collaboration to assist in answering related research questions.  We have found that through partnerships, our effort and resources can be maximized to facilitate scientific pursuit of the truth.  Please feel free to contact the lab director to discuss an experimental proposition or concept.

The AT/MCRL has apparatus to collect and analyze data on:

Joint Position Sense (JPS) of the ANKLE and KNEE

and JPS of the SHOULDER and WRIST

Center of Pressure Analysis &  Electromyography

Perturbed Stance                                  Electrogoniometry

(photo coming soon!)

"We continually pursue answers to theoretically based
health related research questions
while employing the highest experimental standards
and furthering the education of our graduate students."
