Serving over 800 students within the College of Health Sciences,
the Department of Kinesiology hosts:
Four undergraduate degree programs and

each with multiple sub-discipline areas of specialization.
Mission Statement of the Department of Kinesiology
The department provides comprehensive undergraduate and graduate degree programs that incorporate scientific and professional methods of inquiry to study physical activity, exercise, sport, and health-related issues; advances the body of knowledge through scholarly inquiry; and offers a wide-range of fitness and sport activities that help promote lifelong well-being.
Bronco Fit Health and Wellness Expo
Join us Wednesday November 18th, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., for the 2015 Bronco Fit Health and Wellness Expo. Bronco Fit is a new wellness initiative on campus that aims to become America’s Healthiest Campus Community!
This year’s health expo is providing biometric health screenings through Preventative Health starting at 7:00 a.m. Sign up online http://healthservices.boisestate.edu/blog/2015/10/19/preventative-health-screenings-on-campus/. All that is needed is ID and proof of insurance! Other health screening services at the expo include flu shots and fitness tests.
Boise State Environmental Health, Safety, & Sustainability will be doing a pharmaceutical take back at their booth! Be sure to bring unused, outdated, or unwanted pharmaceutical or over the counter drugs to drop off to them!
Besides these great activities going on at the health expo, we have over 45 exhibitors in all areas of health and wellness ready to educate and answer all of your health questions and inquires!

Influential Sports Medicine Practitioners Honored with Endowed Scholarship
“This endowed scholarship for students is my way of paying it forward. George Wade, M.D., and Gary Craner were my mentors; they believed in me and ultimately pushed me to go beyond the world of Boise State to become a physician and follow my dreams,” said Tamara Pascoe, M.D., Boise State alumnus (BS, athletic training, ‘90 and MS, exercise and sports studies, ‘99). “I am one of hundreds of students they have inspired, supported and taught in the past 30-plus years. I want future students to know and understand who the individuals were that paved the way for the current status of athletic training and sports medicine at Boise State and in Idaho.”
