Mission Statement

The department provides comprehensive undergraduate and graduate degree programs that incorporate scientific and professional methods of inquiry to study physical activity, exercise, sport, and health-related issues; advances the body of knowledge through scholarly inquiry; and offers a wide-range of fitness and sport activities that help promote lifelong well-being.

  Due to a reduction in available funds for hiring part-time (adjunct) instructors--some classes are being dropped from the course offerings for the F/09 semester--every effort has been made to keep the impact of this reduction to a minimum--see the chart below for specific classes being dropped from the Fall/09 semester or shifted to the Spring/10 semester--Please contact an academic advisor if you have questions.
